School Satisfaction Survey
Dear Staff and Parents/Carers
Townsville Catholic Education is working with all schools within the Diocese to improve the education experience provided to our students. As a way to gain this feedback, all staff and families within our school communities will be sent a survey to shape the future directions of our schools.
Your responses are very important in this process as we continue to strive to provide the best educational, social, spiritual and emotional resources and environment for our children.
The surveys will be distributed via email on Wednesday 10 May and we ask that they are completed by Wednesday 31 May. If you have children and/or work at more than one Catholic school, you will receive a survey for each school.
I would like to thank you in advance for providing feedback and assisting us to improve our school.

Religious Education News
May is the Month of Mary. For centuries, the Catholic Church has set aside the entire month of May to honor Mary, Mother of God. Not just a day in May, but the entire month. The children will be remembering Mary during May and praying often the Hail Mary.
Hail Mary Hail Mary, Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

The Case of the Disappearing Girl
‘This is Noah Totorica coming to you live from Ayr in Queensland on Wednesday the seventh of June with some breaking news… A young girl named Sophie was laying in her bed when around 10pm she disappeared and all they could find was her favourite bunny still in her bed. A neighbour said they heard screams coming from outside on the street… he ran outside to quickly look but nothing was there! The detectives were called in and they are trying hard to retrace the events before.’
Detective Squarepants is on the case and so far he has found out the following information. It was Tuesday morning and Sophie woke up like any other day and ate her breakfast before heading off to school. She had a pretty uneventful day at school. However on the way home her friends said she wanted to take a detour and walk through the far end of the park where no one ever really dared to go. Her friends wouldn’t join her so she went for a lonely walk while they waited on the path. Her friend Layla said, ‘She came back from her walk wide eyed and eager to go home.’ So they left straight away and headed home. Sophie arrived home to Tacos for Taco Tuesday. During dinner Sophie seemed quiet to her parents but they figured it was week 9 of the term and she was getting tired.
Sophie awoke in the deep dark end of the park in a large hidden cave. She felt a little bit light headed but could only remember starting to lay down in bed then BOOM! She was sucked out the window with what felt like a high powered vacuum, after getting up to check on what she thought were bins getting knocked over. Just as Sophie was taking in the cave a sleek and dark giant black squid slid into her eye line. The squid was motioning for her to come closer. Sophie moved slowly but carefully towards the squid but as she did she noticed he was motioning for her to join him for a massive feast. Sophie had such a lovely time talking with Mr Squid that she forgot that she was actually abducted from her house.
Wednesday the seventh of June Sophie was very exhausted and fell asleep in Mr Squid's lounge room and dreamt of being returned home. When Sophie awoke the next morning she was back in her bedroom and completely unaware of how she returned. She went downstairs and her parents were beyond excited to see her home. They had so many questions about where Sophie went and what happened but first they just wanted to yell to the world that their SOPHIE WAS HOME!
