Three Way Conferences
Three Way Conferences will take place in the class room from Monday 5th September to Thursday 8th September.
These meeting are a very important part of your child's education. Please make an appointment on the Compass system. Your child will prepare for this meeting in class. Every one should come to the meeting.
The interview schedule consists of 15-minute time slots. The interview system is now open to parents/carers to make bookings in Compass. Should you need to make any last/minute cancellations or changes, you will need to contact Reception on 47822030.
If you are using your phone to make your interview bookings, please ensure that you are using the latest version of the Compass App to ensure you have all the features that have recently been added. (You may need to update the Compass App on your phone if you haven't done this recently.)
It is also important that you close the App and re-open it prior to doing your bookings or going to the App to change a booking. This ensures that any changes that we make to the settings or schedule for Parent/Teacher Interviews transfer through to your phone.
If you are experiencing difficulty booking, please call Reception and they will assist you.
The Cowboys Resilence Project - St Colman's will be joining !
The Resilience Project helps to build resilient, positive and mentally healthy primary and secondary school communities through its school-based program.
The Resilience Project delivers emotionally engaging programs to schools providing practical, evidence-based, positive strategies to build resilience and happiness.
Through a combination of presentations, wellbeing journals, school curriculum, teacher diaries and their App, The Resilience Project is based on a scientific approach to studying human thoughts, feelings, and behaviour with focus on:
- Strengths instead of weakness
- Building on the good in life, instead of focussing on the bad
- Taking the lives of people experiencing reasonable mental health up to 'great'
The focus of the project is on acting in a preventative space, as well as providing intervention for those struggling.

School Mass
Today we celebrated Mass together as a school. Our theme was Two great Mary's - St Mary Mackillop and Mary, the mother of Jesus. August has two special days for these two special saints - Feast day of Mary Mackillop 8th of August - Feast of the Assumption of Mary 15th August
Both women had a very strong faith and stood up to many challenges and hardships trusting in God's word. Just like these two women we are called to stand up against injustices in our local community and our world. We should encourage our children to speak out when they see their fellow classmates treated unfairly.
St Mary of the Cross MacKillop's motto of
‘never see a need without doing something about it’
continues to call us forth to action.
Book Week
Thank you to Mrs Venera Pont for organizing our Book Fair. The fair will be open before and after school till Thursday afternoon.
The book parade was wonderful and it was especially great to have C & K Kindy join us. Thank you to all parents who helped dress their children up for the day. Making reading a fun part of our daily routine is so important for children to learn.
